It's so windy here all of a sudden that random doors in the fortress keep opening and closing BY THEMSELVES OMG. I've closed the windows but now the outside doors and windows are rattling constantly and it's a tad disconcerting.
I seem to be obsessed with Kryptonite Putty. Seriously, it's like an addiction and I can't stop playing with it. Did that come out wrong? It's green glow-in-the-dark putty in a cute fake lead box and you can stretch it and mould it and use the indents in the box to make little Superman shields or lumps of kryptonite. I've had to put it in another room because it was distracting me from writing today.
So I've been on youtube and sites watching and reading Brandon Routh interviews and he just gets cuter and cuter. He *is* Clark - on that MTV blue carpet interview? Clark. And there was a segment some guy from Jimmy Kimmel (don't get the show here) did at the awards where all the stars were passing him by and who should stop for an interview but our BJ. So sweet. He mentioned that he's not allowed to cut his hair at the moment (mystery solved!) and then the topic turned to Brandon's underwear so he very politely backed away. Hee! He's doing a fantastic job at keeping the wholesome image...might have strayed just a little when he and Courtney were joking about wearing the suit in private on special occasions but *dude*, your boyfriend is *Superman*! Of course you're going to want that suit at some point. It's not like we didn't know!
supermanhomepage.com has fantastic interviews with all the stars from the press junket thingy, just in case you haven't seen, and this:
Brandon: Hi, I'm Brandon everybody, how are you doing? (goes around and shakes everyone's hand).
Press: Q: We can tell you're new at this. (laughter)
Brandon: No, no, I want to meet everybody. Sometimes I meet you twice.
is why I love this guy even before seeing him as Superman. Even if he sucks, which I know he won't, he's still the cutest, sweetest thing ever.
And the spoiler-free reaction to the film
here is all I need to read. That's it. That's all I needed to get me so damn excited that I'm going to be thinking of nothing else (except maybe Zoe and H&A stuff occasionally *g*) until June 29, and possibly for longer after that. I *cried* when I read a tiny little review. This is going to be interesting.

One more thing. It's pretty obvious that I have made BJ love, but I'm also warming to Sam Huntington. I'll admit to being wary at first, but seeing his episode in Bryan's diary, and little snippets of Jimmy out there...yeah, I think this guy will be a great Jimmy. And he's funny, too. An extra reason to see Fanboys in the future.
From supermanhomepage again:
Press: What was your first reaction, because you're a Superman fan, when you finally saw Brandon in full costume?
Sam: It was an epic moment for me.
Press: Was it really?
Sam: Yeah! I mean, he had these two dressing rooms. One was the room where he... because it took a very long time... believe it or not, it's not just spandex... it was very involved to put the suit on. So he had the room to put the suit on which took like forty-five minutes and there was the room that he would just hang out in. Nothing lavish, it was just a room. I was sitting in that room just waiting for him, I didn't know he was getting dressed, and EVERYBODY else knew. Because I'm like a dweeb, I'm ridiculous. And I'd been waiting to see him in the suit, like I was so pumped, and so I'm sitting in the room and it's an adjoining room and there's a door that walks in and he walks in as Superman. He knew I was going to shit myself, basically.
Press: (laughter) And you did.
Sam: And I did! I squeezed a... yeah. (more laughter) I won't delve into that. But you know what, it was like watching Santa Claus come down the chimney. It was like... it was like seeing Superman. (gestures to me and one of the other reporters) You're wearing a shirt, you're wearing a hat, you guys must be fans, right? It was like seeing Superman! It was like...
Press: Did he pose and say something?
Sam: Oh yeah. He came in and... I forget, what the hell did he say? (Sam puts his hands on his hips in classic Superman pose) He was all arms akimbo ... (Sam extends his hand as if waiting for someone to shake it) He was all, "Hello, sir!" (laughter) Man, I couldn't even look him in the face. Couldn't even look at him. I was ridiculous. And I KNEW Brandon, that was the weird thing. I knew him! It wasn't like the first time I'd met him or seen him. But man, it was the first time I saw Superman.
Hee! Is this our first taste of possible RPS pairings? 'Cause I'd be all over some BJ/Sam if someone was to write it. *nodnodnod* OMG, can you *imagine* the RPS? Why haven't I thought of this before now? My slash skills are waning.

I also like how the various cast reacted to the giant Superman action figure in those interviews. Heh. They seemed to want it and the remote controlled flying Supes. I agree. There is a giant action figure-shaped present at home with my name on it which will make me (and giant Batman) happy next week, but I still haven't seen the flying Supes anywhere. Odd. Still, I have my kryptonite putty to keep me occupied. *g*
I can't believe I have to work tomorrow. Public holidays are such teases, making you think life is great for a day, then throwing you back into the suck.
