Teen Titans Annual

Because I love Conner and...well, *one* of his daddies seems to at this point in time, I bring scans. Green is hot on Conner, stubble (?) is hot on Lex,and I enjoy seeing Lex give us a little insight into his superclone motivations.

That's probably a good plan, although Alex has had some stellar moments so far which you might like to see - like somehow having to get entirely naked and have Superboy Prime kneel in front of him so he can, um, transfer his antimatter thingimy stuff into him. It's like - *strips naked* "I shall now fill you with my essence Grahhhhhhhh!" - and it's kinda hot. *g*

Anyway, just in case you may want to know in the future, Alex is from Earth-Three and is the son of their Lex and Lois. Lex was good, the JLA were evil, and before their earth went kaput, Lex and Lois put lil Alex in...something...and sent him into orbit or whatever. Remind you of anyone? Heh. That all happened in the *other* crisis, I think. Maybe. Who knows? Anyway, he aged real quick in the process and is currently all emo over the fact that he didn't have a childhood. Sucks to be Alex.

Spoilery - he manipulated Superboy Prime, who punched time (yeah), who caused all the wacky goings on we see before us, like Jason Todd rising from the dead, and all those pesky and confusing different Superman origin stories. He posed as our Lex to set up that secret society of supervillains (we were duped!) and sent Lex nuts (hence the current suit etc, I think).

But yeah, now I have a feeling Lex is using Conner as his own personal soldier, in much the same way Alex is using Superboy Prime, and I doubt either of them are worried about a little collateral damage. Poor Conner. If DC do this, there will be consequences. Grr.

Can't DC head-hunt Joss Whedon from Amazing X-Men to come over and do *something* with him???

I think Joss *is* - Superman/Batman #26. At least, I'm pretty sure his name was included on the hella impressive list for that one - it's a tribute to Sam Loeb (Jeph's son) who died last year and was working on a Superboy/Robin story. About a billion artists and writers had some part in it.

Good gravy!!
Okay, clearly Alex has no problems with repression of their pent-up feelings, unlike the originals do.

And there's a Superboy Prime? Sounds like Optimus Prime...
I must admit, I am enjoying the whole Jason thing over in the Bat'verse. It's kinda what I imagine Dick to have possibly become if he wasn't so moral and uptightright. And him with Joker... chilling...

And YAY Joss! He should move to DC and sort all this shit out. Sometimes I think the whole Infinite Crisis thing is just like the Wheel of Time series - never-ending. *Ever*.

I have to tell you about the funniest ad that was on for the Oscars.

There was a HUGE deal with Ang Lee and BBM over here and they were doing their own spoofs of it. This one ad had a guy behind a camera (photo, not film) and he was saying in dramatic tones.
"Okay! Give me GUILTY DESIRE! Now give me HEARTACHE!"
And you pan to a nerdy-looking high-school kid sitting in front of one of those screen they use for taking passport photos, who says, "Hey man! This is a school photo! Not an Ang Lee film!"

I cracked up over it, especially their expressions!

Hee, that's great.

Our cinema got Brokeback this week! We were all set to go on the weekend but then a flat tyre happened and all the tyre places were closed so we just had to use the dickie temporary spare which you can't drive over 80 on and it was in danger of exploding any minute so...I hope the movie's still on next weekend.
