Crikey, it's been busy today. Will catch up tonight.
Managed to take care of over half the Christmas mail over the weekend - as in packaged and addressed and waiting for my pay cheque to clear tomorrow before they go out. I still have the local stuff to do but I figure I have a few more days for that. *g* So much fun was had wrapping etc, and getting the little sample packs done - there was a production line of three people and we felt like elves. Hee. And I found the most awful (yet so awful, they're actually kinda cool) Christmas cards so keep a look out for them winging their way to you soon (I hope they arrive in time - have my doubts).
Somehow started a collection of Jesus statues over the weekend. I have no idea how, but I think it began with the most tasteless thing you've ever seen which we acquired on Saturday, then found another (not as tastless yet still cheap and tacky) yesterday, then a friend came over, saw our little pair and was all *lighbulbs* so I expect we'll be getting more. Heh.
Went to the markets yesterday and discovered a NookArt stall. A chorus of angels descended and our wallets ran in fear. They were a little pricey (but then again, my price knowledge of NookArt comes from eBay mainly) so we had to talk them down but I got a cute little pink airline bag with vintage girl's comic book design for half price and my sister got a heap of buttons (some with a Jesus design. heh) and we bought gifts, too, including a wonderfully tacky thing for natalexx since the other thing I had ordered hasn't arrived yet (don't worry, neither involve a tasteless Jesus.) I hope they make the next markets when I have more cash to give them. *g*
Then we went to the Norse Wines stall to pick up a bottle of their wine with real gold flakes in it for the parents (they apparently sent the wine to Princess Mary for her wedding and she wrote back and ordered more for the christening so it must be good, right? *g*) and the old European guy had us testing so many wines that I suspect we were rather tipsy by 8:30 in the morning. But I now know how to taste test wines like a pro!
