OMG. There's a certain person on the flist who I am insanely jealous of right now. *points to icon* But very, very giddy about at the same time because OMG heissohot and I can be all fangirly viacariously.
Anyway, we've had the usual weekend of TV watching, dog playing and we went shopping yesterday which we haven't really done in a while.
We took care of a few more Christmas presents (with stuff on sale!) so the plan is working nicely. I stocked up on underwear (why do they always all wear out at the same time?) which you probably didn't need to know but OMG I now have really cute boyleg undies with funny stuff written on them. I did, however, pass on the "Daddy's Girl" ones because ew. Nobody should have that written across their butt unless they're, like, 2.
And I found the *cutest* little ankle socks for bowling. They have a monkey with a very phallic banana on them and instead of the little pompoms that some ankle socks have on the heel, they have little monkey heads! But the best thing is when I went to pay for them (and a Brissy Lions shirt for my sister for Christmas, and the undies) the girl at the counter started chatting about how she liked my Red Dwarf shirt and when the monkey socks wouldn't scan, she just winked and threw them in the bag for free. So I have free monkey socks all because of geek solidarity. I had someone comment on my shirt on 6 different occasions yesterday. And I've had it for years. Odd.
I bought a new pair of jeans and a few new summery tops since it is OMG so hot here already. And a few different coloured singlets to *wear* under the summery tops because all the clothes this season are those floaty, see-through bo-ho things and nobody needs to see what's underneath my shirt, okay? And I'd like to take a moment to personally thank Delta Goodrem for going up to a DD-cup in her bra range. A starlet who makes bras for *actual women*? She is teh awesome.
And of course I got toys. Actually, I bought something with
lyrian in mind but I don't know if she already has it so now I'm wondering how to find out without giving it away. Heh. This is the problem with Christmas presents. I also got a cute little doggie how barks "Jingle Bells" because, dude, everyone needs an annoying Christmas toy every year or it just doesn't feel like Christmas. And last night when we were wrapping gifts and cracking up about how organised we were going to be this year (it'll never work, and I still picture mad gift-buying/sending at the last minute) we were like, "Maybe we should get the tree out and stuff" and then realised it was *October* and that would be insane. Because, you know, we have to deal with Halloween first. *snerk* I blame the shops, who are decorated and playing carols *already*.
Oh! Skill Tester haul - 1 Nemo, 1 George Jetson and 1 Woody from Toy Story. I could not, for the life of me, get Joker who had a leg stuck under Elmo and wouldn't budge. Di said she got us Penguin the other day, though. Hee.
And everyone make a note to watch Home and Away this week (well, if you're in Australia, I suppose). I know it's been crap and only worth watching for *sigh* Kim, but this week marks the return of the Robbie/Kim (Rim, for the uninitiated). With nudity. And we don't wanna miss that, do we?
