Guess who I saw tonight?
Yay! lyrian's home! We went to the toy sale and played with stuff and maybe bought some stuff *g*. The Sims 2 University expansion pack was on sale and I figured I'd waited long enough, and since I'm not at work this week, I have time to play so I got it. Just have to clear some room on the hard drive first. Comics and TV eps take up more room than you'd think (I only discovered this when I thought I'd check how much free space I have...) Skill Tester haul was one Wizard Scooby-Doo and one Daphne.
And we got to gossip and talk about fannish stuff but not enough. Luckily, we have more time and we're kidnapping her for the weekend, too. Far too many comics and DVDs to get through in that time. Whee!
Also, she's famous now. I'll let her squee about that. Note to self: get that autograph now before she forgets all the little people.
I spent most of today watching Firefly on DVD which was good timing considering I came online to find everyone gushing over the new Serenity trailer. And I think I made a new fan when the water purifier guy came to change the filter.
Him: What're ya watching?
Me: Firefly
Him: Oh yeah. (doesn't know what the heck I'm talking about) *goes back to changing filter*
Me: *watches*
Him: *walks to lounge room* It's like...a western...but with spaceships!
Me: Exactly!
Him: So cool.
Me: I know!
Heh. Then he saw our Skill Tester toy collection and was appropriately gushy and in awe of our talent. I think I like Water Purifier Guy.
Saw the trailer for The Fog. Not enough Tommy but the movie does look like something right up my alley and...omg Maggie Grace! *loves* She looks so preeeety in this.
Hey, I'm hearing murmurs about Teen Titans #26. With specific SV reference. Anyone out there have scans? I think Conner wants to play with me this week and I'd like as much info as possible beforehand. *g*
Also, that story I started writing and kinda sorta plotting out? Could be huge. Like, NaNo potential. It's kind of Clex...well, as much as it can be with Lex insane and Clark powerless and married to Lana...*teases* and it's just...evolving right now. It's fun to take away their strengths and see how they can get back from that, and after reading Comic Book Heroes which is a whole lotta crap yet leaves me *mulling* days later, I wanted to take Clark to the Edge of the Universe and show him his Missed Opportunities. (Like Dickens, but in space, you see. *g*)
