How Typical of Me

Well, it seems I spent my last week at home doing absolutely everything other than packing. Not that I regret any of the cooler stuff I did, but it's just that trying to pack up my entire life in one day is a bitch and a half.

Went to the CNE yesterday with my mom and sister. I basically spent the day watching them play every game imaginable (though my mom did win a cute little stuffed dog), and happily stuffing my face with fudge and whatever I could find in the food building :)...I did manage to find some cool stuff in the arts and crafts pavillion, like a CD holder made out of a Billy Idol record. I also got an early birthday present from my mom: a gorgeous pink stone bracelet, made by a couple of equally gorgeous "ooh, i'm such a bitch!"-type guys. Score one for me.

Later that night we headed to the Molson Amphitheatre for the Sarah McLachlin concert (a Mother's Day gift from me and Amanda). The opening act - Butterfly Boucher - kicked ass, and I managed to get an autographed copy of her album. As for Sarah herself, she put on one of the best concerts I've ever been to. It basically reinforced the fact that she is one of the most underrated vocalists out there, and combined with her instrumental talent she's a formidable (and enjoyable) artist. All in all, a rather nice way to end the summer.

In other news, I have clothes. Lots and lots of clothes. Now all I have to do is somehow fit them into the car with all my other shit. And for those who will be in town tomorrow: Six Feet Under at 9pm, in the RVC lounge. Be there.

We leave at dawn!
