1) Structurally the episode reminded me of the Australia Gold Hunt episode.
2) The first hour of the episode with the earn money and hints bit was mediocre. There has been a marked shift in the past year with more episodes where the Running Men and their guests hang out and produce laughs and human moments instead of going for the slapstick of competition. There have been some real gems from it - the locked in a warehouse, the 100 vs 100. Either they did not get enough funny bits (one reason I think is the guest and the cast ended up separated and isolated). Or the PDs did a mediocre job crafting the narrative/picking the right footage for maximum laughs.
Spoilers for ending below:[Spoiler (click to open)] 3) How fun was Ji Suk Jin? He was the true star and I loved that the closing focussed on him. Jae Suk allying with him to take down the others only to be betrayed because he hurt Suk Jin's feelings made this episode. It was a total live by the sword die by the sword moment. So overall an uneven episode salvaged by YooJik cross.
