A day in BA: steak, shopping and Rossini at the opera house
In London, 3 British pounds will buy you a chicken burger meal with fries.
In Buenos Aires, 3 British pounds will buy you a ticket to a Buenos Aires philharmonic orchestra performance of a magnificent Rossini overture at the opera house AND a glass of champagne.
Otherwise, Argentinian steak really IS the best.
People really DO dance tango in the streets.
And Argentinian men are really good looking.
And two random Argentinian people have commented on my having pretty eyes, which of course, I love, because no one ever says that to you randomly in London.
Oh, and it´s really really hot here.
My favourite part of Buenos Aires so far is La Boca, the ´immigrants´ district full of colourful houses. Tomorrow we´re going to a ranch out in the country to go riding.
And now I´m too tired to write anything else.
