If we need another solid D-man, who else is there for the taking but Stewart? The other guy people are talking about is Souray but he's not good defensively, he's basically Modry with a lot more skill.
Raycroft is perhaps not as injury prone as Cloutier but he's susceptible to the same kind of bad goals Cloutier is, IMO. We agree though that he's not the guy they need.
I'll let the jury stay out on Calder. Judging solely by last season's stats he doesn't look all that impressive but I know little about him and will take your word. Nagy I don't see having a ton of upside anyways...he'll be good for 20 goals a season maybe. Handzus..well, we'll see how the knee holds up.
Garon I mentioned only as a last ditch resort. Garon-LaBarbera sounds much better than LaBarbera-Cloutier though doesn't it? Emery-LaBarbera sounds much better but doubtful DL will make that happen.
Agree with you about LaBarbera.
Still like Comrie and good about Army not being a second liner any longer.

I'll take his 2005-06 season as upside and go from there. Last year just sucked for him and the Flyers. He had a slightly better situation in Detroit, but yes, disappeared in the playoffs. He won't have to worry about disappearing this coming season. He can schedule tee time for the second week in April.
