When it comes to this type of icon, I'm terribly suck at it because I can never erase the 'unwanted' part properly. *blush*

Oh, don't worry... it takes me some time, too. I figured... good results comes out when you erase it pretty sloppy. :)

Thanks so much for this tutorial!
I use Photoshop Elements 2.0 also and there's not much you can do with it! hehe.

Oh I think this one is gorgeous. :) I'm glad you like the tut.
Oh... I managed it quite well to fill the limits of the program with little tricks, using textures and color layers and everything. :)
But I really like your icon.
