You know, sometimes one should check the cabinet before buying stuff that's on sale. I mean, it was a good price, and won't spoil, but I really don't need that many bottles of BBQ sauce! I hadn't looked before placing my last order, and the bottle I purchased, plus the ones already in the cabinet, should last me quite a while, even if I tend to be liberal when dunking. What I *am* low on is salad dressing - guess I'll be adding a bottle or two to the next order.

Published in the peer-reviewed journal Arctic, the research concludes that “polar bears may occasionally use tools to hunt walruses in the wild.”

ok, this made me laugh - partially bc I immediately wondered how true it is: "Get us some space, tell them as little as you have to, but to be prepared for incoming prisoners. We’re the FBI. We can be vague and uncommunicative like nobody’s business.”
With covid exploding all around us, it's just so odd to keep seeing tourism and vacation ads on TV. I mean, I get why people want to get out there, and why companies/businesses need them to, but I'm going to keep hiding for a while longer, thanks.

This is fascinating - both that it survived being buried for so long, and that they could put it back together: Why King Khufu’s Solar Boat Is on the Move After 4,600 Years - Last weekend, a 4,600-year-old ship once owned by the pharaoh Khufu traveled from its longtime home near the Pyramids of Giza to the Grand Egyptian Museum, a state-of-the-art venue slated to open outside of Cairo in late 2021.

I'd never really thought about how/when penguins learned to swim, but this video of Shedd Aquarium's penguin chicks getting in the water and figuring it out is fun (and cute).
