Olympics are starting up tonight - I will be busy for the next 17 days. omg, I luvs the 'lympics! It's a perfect excuse for a new TV, eh? as usual I started shopping for one and and now confused over all the options, brands, features and reviews. It really is a subjective thing I suppose. I just want one that doesn't have a huge frame as it will eventually be mounted on the wall.

Summer Olympics are the best but I've become fond of the winter games after learning to curl on the Salt Lake olympic ice ring. I used to be able to name all 34 summer sports but now they've changed so don't ask. My favorite? uh, I'll pretty much watch any and everything. Must see (or tivo/dvr) events include Opening Ceremonies, swimming (Michael Phelps), badminton, soccer, baseball, basketball, athletics, archery, diving, shooting, tennis, water polo, judo, taekwondo (the Lopez kids!), okay, well pretty much as much as I can catch.

I'm also looking forward to learning more about China and the culture. I wish there wasn't such an "american" bent to the coverage as I'd just like to see the games as is but oh well. A friend of mine had tickets to the games b/c he travels to China all the time and his vendors over there were trying to bribe him, er, encourage his choices, and he gave them all away and came home b/c he didn't want to deal with the crowds. silly man! okay, must work a bit and then TV shop. . . enjoy folks!
