First post after a long break
It's saturday. Day off. Just chilling, if I could say that since today I've been stuck to my computer. Much Simcity, which is at the moment the game I play when I want to feel in control of something in my life.. ah, it's better than it sounds.. the highlight of the 'sitting in front of computer all day on a Saturday' part, was the movie I've just watched.. I can only summarize it like that:
CREEPY. CREEPY. CREEPY.
It's called 'Ils', which is french for 'Them', takes place in Hungary, which explains 10 minutes of weird language I was treated to at the beginning of the movie with no translation whatsoever.. the hungarian speech runs through the movie here and there, but once the horror darkness fell down on the house and property where the main drama took place, listening was the least of my problems, since every minute or so all I would jump up terrified. My heart rate went up to heights it wasn't suppose to go to, I'm sure, since I'm not at all sure what the regular heart rate is...
Creepy creepy assassin shadows chasing a couple. Yes, the whole movie is like that. The worst part of it was the ending, where I have found out who the assassins were..
Children. 10-15 years old children who killed people for the sake of the game. Children spending their nights in the forests and sewage under the living breathing busy streets of the city's outskirts.. Masterful game of the young sadists, who, from what I understand, act perfectly normal during daytime, have maybe perfectly normal parents.. etc etc.. and after much anguish aided masterfully by the haunting soundtrack and special effects noises, it ends.. with 'based on a true story' line.
So, that is the highlight of my evening.. I'm happy to say that after an hour or so, my heart rate is somewhat back to normal. Phew. Enough emotional rollercoaster for the day. So, bye bye, first LJ entry after a.. 6 year?.. break *grin* I hope next time I'll treat you to something somewhat more amusing.
