Thank you very much, Paul! Tulips did bloom in Paris, where I was at my birthday, but you always forget that where I live there's still snow in April. :)
Oh... probably not, at least for now - I'm too much behind deadline with my translation, and besides, I wasn't in the mood for pictures, since it was rainy and cold. It looked like this:
Thanks :) It was really freezing cold the whole week, with specks of occasional sunshine here and there, so I had to put on everything I brought with me.
I was somewhat disappointed in Paris - it's too much like Russian St Petersburg, which I'm not a fan of, in terms of both architecture and, more importantly, energy. What's perfect about it is the language, of course. I think you'd love it though - the Parisians are as fond of old things as you are. The furniture in the "lounge" of the hostel I stayed at was strikingly dilapidated, which seemed to be fine with the natives, there're vintage stores all over the city, and the famous flee market is said to be paradise for collectors like you. :)
