"Desperate Housewives" Season Finale

First of all, bless you, Kyle MacLachlan, for making the world (and, once again, primetime television) a more endearingly twisted place. I always wished that I had watched more of Twin Peaks when it was on, and you were very good in Blue Velvet. That was nice. I enjoyed your stint on Sex and the City, even though your character was a spineless mama's boy. Then, when you first appeared on Desperate Housewives and started talking some sense into Teri Hatcher, I was on your side. Now, however, you are running down innocent former felons with your car one day, and then romantically pursuing Bree Van de Kamp the next. Somewhere, Mr. MacLachlan, must be drawn a line. Bree has already had one homicidal boyfriend, in addition to a sociopathic son whose idea of retribution is to sleep with his mother's recovering sex-addict Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor/love-interest, and a borderline nymphomaniac daughter who thinks that it is okay to go around hitting Alfre Woodard with a crowbar -- all this within a year of being widowed and accused of her husband's murder; has not the woman suffered enough? I ask you: is it gentlemanly to involve her in further catastrophes waiting to happen? Leave her alone, Kyle MacLachlan; leave her alone!
