Brock (Broderick Crawford) is a corrupt millionaire who, in an attempt to elevate his social status and acquire a degree of respectability hires a tutor to improve his crass girlfriend's behaviour. What he does not bargain for is her falling in love with the teacher. Starring Judy Holliday as Billie, the girlfriend, and William Holden as Paul, her tutor.
