In non-toe news, I'm currently watching season 2 of Yes, Minister, the 1980s TV series about a politician (Jim Hacker, played by Paul Eddington) and his attempts to do his job despite the civil service bureaucracy surrounding him.
I found some very familiar faces in
The Death List episode. Graeme Garden as a security specialist ("if pushed out of a window onto spiked iron railings below, try to land on your head"); Ivor Roberts (from You Rang, M'Lord?); and Michael Keating (Blake's 7's Vila!) as a bodyguard.
Jim's appalled to hear he's on a terrorist group's death list. However, protection will be provided: At work, at home, and on a second honeymoon with his wife.
(There's a hilarious bit of Jim and his wife, strolling through woods, commenting on the peace and beauty, all the while accompanied by 6 bodyguards.)
Fortunately for the minister's peace of mind, it's discovered he isn't important enough to be considered for assassination, so life can return to normal.
