Dimitri posted!?!?! The world must be coming to an end. Five years late, but still ...

In more serious news this post suddenly reminds me of your existence. I haven't seen you in what? Must be getting on toward multiple years now. Where are you hanging out nowadays? Still in Redwood City? If so, we should hang out sometime. I will be in town till 1/16. Heck, with Sean, Pete and Mike in town, we might even be able to run another session of the Undermountain campaign ... yes that ill-fated campaign could, once again rise like a phoenix from the ashes. I think we may have a record for longest time between sessions. Or we could do something less impact like board games.

Anyway, that is all contingent on you still being in the area. Let me know. Heck, you could even send some contact info this way if you were so inclined.

not really. Certainly a huge harvest time festival, but the indian seasons are three, not four, so the solstice isn't as big a deal. The shortest day of the year has no real religious significance.

There isn't really a Buddhist holiday for winter solstice. Actually, Buddhism isn't really a holiday type of religion. Afterall, it is more like a philosophy. However, there are localized holidays that have been assimilated into Buddhism in places like regions of China. But those holidays were part of whatever pre-Buddhist practice was there already.
