i has a new computer! something about the auto-migration didn't work, so i'm having to transfer things over by hand, which will of course take forever, but i guess that mean i can edit what i take and what i don't as i go.

it's shiny and pretty and doesn't have a name yet, since i'm still so attached to 'ashby.' it may yet become 'ashby ii,' but 'commandant' is still in the running.
