epic month of epicness.
so basically the past month has been a lot of awesome. i don't even know where to begin. so i'm just gunna photodump with a few words here and there. there's going to be a different entry entirely devoted to the cobra show i just went to because i still don't have my pictures on the computer from that one yet.
so lets start with june 19th, when the other other other half of my soul came to see and show and visit me.

onto july 12th. there are no pictures from this although i wish there were... Kai, Akari, Tosh and i went to see VNV nation in cleveland at peabodys. first of all just let me say that the intense goth fail i saw there was atrocious. but it was very good for the lulz. the first band failed hard. the second band War Tapes was musically good and vocally not. the vocalist was creepy beyond all reason and he took a liking to Kai and i. by that i mean got right up in our faces and sang to us. i never want someone all up in my koolaide singing "love me" unless i already love them. ick. anyway once they left and VNV took the stage it was pretty epic.
i had no idea what to expect for this show but it was intense the music was sooooo good live. i didn't really expect it to be but they did an amazing job. and Ronan was really funny and endearing and even though he's a chubby Irishman and kinda looks like Andrew Zimmern he is super cute. so they rocked it hard and because it was such a small club and they couldn't have their video screens up they told us they'd play songs for us they hadn't played on other shows. they definitely delivered. even with an impromptu performance of Electronaut. and they played for a solid 3 hours.
meanwhile Akari and Kai had left and Kai came back to grab Tosh and i during the last song. Tosh went to look for Akari and Kai and i went to look for VNV. Kai spoke to the vocalist of war tapes, whose name was Neil and was apparently a very nice person when he wasn't being a creeper mcmuffin , and he literally took us up to the tour bus, knocked on the door and coaxed Matt out for us. so we got our stuff signed, had a brief conversation, hugs. Matt is MASSIVELY tall. and very nice and funny too. with a beautiful English accent.
after meeting him and few more people saw he was out so they started crowding so Kai and i backed up to stand near the front of the bus and wait for Ronan. eventually he did come out and when we spoke to him he was so kind and down to earth and actually took time to have a real conversation with us. honestly, probably the kindest famous person i've ever met. he gave us hugs and we departed.
the rest of the evening was not as cool so i'll leave it at that.
the next thing, NEVERSHOUTNEVER! july 17th. :DDDDD
so first the ready set played and tosh and i fell in love. so super cute. although not a lot of pictures came out from this night. D:

and now onto the love of my life. he didn't have a lot of stage lights, just candles so the colours in these photos are kinda off. he looks really sunburned. haha.
he definitely stopped to take and drink and said he loved the way water felt in his throat.... his entire interaction with the crowd was a string of basket stories and awkward moments. i love him sooooo.
his set was so fun. i screamed and sang and jumped around super hard even though i was on the side and not the pit. i rocked out so hard and was pleased i knew every song. i also bought a super cute sweatshirt, got some pins and bought a wristband for Tosh.
so yes. he finished his set and Tosh and i decided to troll for him but we found Jordan of the ready set first so we got pictures with him.
so cute.
so peabody's has this outdoor patio type area behind the stage so Tosh and i went out there and stood by the fence behind which the band had a lot of their equipment. as we were waiting there i talked to [who i believe to be] Dustin and Taylor. Taylor is a sweetheart and we actually held a fairly decent conversation, apparently he has a friend back home named Ruu. :D and he kissed my hand which was awesome. so eventually Christofer came over to greet us.
there was a big trunk infront of the fence on his side so he climbed on top of it to hang out and talk. he didn't want to sign anything so i missed out on that but i did get to talk to him a little. i gave him the shirt Tosh and i had made for him and he thought it was great. and i also got to tell him about my nsn tattoo. he was so amazed and flattered. so cute. he said, "i can't tell you what it means to me that you would want something i created on your body forever. that's insane." [more or less] and he wanted to kiss it. thus created a dilemma though because we were on opposite sides of a fence and there was a trunk kinda in the way. so he shimmied over and i tried to stick my arm through the fence and we shuffled around awkwardly for like 2 minutes and it was super weird and kind of embarrassing. haha.
and then i decided once that had happened i could stand to leave, not realizing Tosh hadn't gotten to speak to him so she was a tad miffed but said we could go. so as we're walking out of the venue we happen to bump into none other than Chris! he was on his way to the bus. so he thanked us again for the shirt and told us he was going to sleep in it. haha. we asked for pictures but he said he didn't really like to take pictures, which i forgive because i understand that he's not in the best place right now, but he said he liked to kiss hands so he kissed my hand twice and gave me a hug. and he kissed Tosh's hand after he remarked that she had a lovely hand. and he gave me another hug and kissed my tattoo for real and then we let him go.
and as i was walking back to the car, tweeting in all caps about it i ran into a pipe and hurt my leg. HAHA.
and then we have some random day. idrk what day it was but Sisky business and William Beckett had been tweeting the night before about having a day off in Akron and the QaF fam was like "WTF?! our Akron?" but we didn't really expect much of it. but then the next day Sisky tweeted again that if you wanted to meet William to come to the Barley house. so we did. and well. we met him. HAHA. and we had a conversation about the most metal ways to die. they had some very very very long and involved one worked out.
