I still haven't sorted out all my thoughts about Wikileaks yet. I've always been a big believer in transparency, open government, freedom of information, and the like. But the reality is that all governments have and must have secrets in order to function. That's important in a wide range of issues, from security considerations to the sensitive nature of much international diplomacy. There can be such a thing as too much transparency, but where that line should be drawn is something that I suspect it will take a long while to figure out.
