I've just cleaned out my friends list a bit. Most everyone I cut were people I haven't had any contact with in forever and/or never update. I also usually end up deleting people who don't friend me back, unless their journal is really interesting to me for some reason. After all, without interaction, what's the point in this whole social

The active user base around here seems to be shrinking despite LJ's claims that they've got so many active journals and posts. Given the recent spate of bot problems attacking communities I think they numbers are more than a little inflated.

I have noticed that it seems awfully quiet from what it used to be.

That just means that we, the remaining active readers, need to comment more and introduce more people to more journals. For all the touting of DW, I don't think that's where the active users are, except in fandom. No, they've all gone to the Borg of Face.
