It seems that Kim Kardashian has political ambitions (God help us).
The story goes that she was driving by the Ross Perot museum (Don't get me started), recalled that Mr. Perot had run for President (I'm shocked that she actually had some bit of historical knowledge), and Presto!, she decided she might have a future political career. Then she decided she would start out small. As a mayor. Of Glendale, California. One small problem with this plan: Glendale has a council-manager form of government, meaning there is no elected mayor.
Tareq Salahi, on the other hand, doesn't plan to start out so modestly. Salahi's claim to fame, other than being on "Real Housewives of DC" was crashing a state dinner at the White House. He's now decided he wants to be
governor of Virginia, claiming a commitment to less government, lower taxes, and less regulation. Needless to say, he plans to participate in the Republican primary, since the Republicans are, one, the only party that still buys into that kind of horseshit, two, the party of such distinguished luminaries as Sarah Palin and Dan Quayle, and, three, the party that would welcome such an uninformed and unaccomplished dumbass to run for high office under its banner (he'd fit right in with the rest of them). And so Salahi filed the paperwork to run in Virginia's gubernatorial primary on November 6, 2013. Again, though, we have a small problem: the primary takes place on November 5, 2013.
The tragic part is that both of them would probably attract plenty of votes.
