015: Father's Day planning [Phonecall]/[Action] for 1333 Benny rd residents

May 24, 2011 05:40

I never really paid much attention...but when's Father's Day, exactly? [She'd like to know when to lock herself up somewhere safe for a day. She likes Toris and all, but the idea that she'd be listening to anyone, even the chauvinist drones? That's not something she wants to deal with.] Some time in June, I know, but what day?

bloody sexist drones, phonecall, sooo not a wife, drones, planning, fathers day

"If you'd like, you are formally invited to my 'no men allowed' party behind a door I'm trying to sound proof. I believe its on the 20th."

"Tentatively it is set for my attic, but if I can find a place with fewer men and a better fortification point I am not above moving it."

"If I spot anything I'll make sure you know." Because it was an important group effort to make sure the drones of the city didn't get to order women around.

"Good. Some women abused the Mother's Day mind control and I don't want to get caught in some odd act of revenge."

"Yeah...not interested in dealin' with that." Or the drones and their constant demands.

"I don't think the drones had any control power on mother's day, but I didn't study it extensively. I was more concerned with getting the few boys I'm friendly with to a save environment where they wouldn't get abused."

"...Just how many women overused their power?" She supposed it wouldn't be too surprising that, given the opportunity, people would abuse that sort of power, especially under the circumstances. But it was still disappointing to think there'd be so many turning against people who should have been their allies.

"Not many, but they did force those who they captured to do extreme amounts of physical labor that was pointless or spend large amounts of available cash on them. Its more the quality of abuse over quantity."

"Yeah, I s'pose so." Which probably should have made it better, knowing there were less doing it, but really, it was worse to know that so many would have to worry because of a few.

"There are a lot of people with questionable morals here, and I've found that petty acts of vengeance are a fairly standard constant among humanity. I simply am preparing for the worst."
