my nose is numb-er than a...numb thing.
i knew when i came over here that i'd probably not be used to the average temperature being lower than cincinnati's. but really? right now, i want to roll a large metal barrel up here, throw newspaper and wood scraps in it, light it on fire, and hunker down with a cheap bottle of whiskey. or more realistically, throw on a hoodie and make more coffee. heh...and it's still technically "summer" here in glasgow. awesome. to make it even better (or worse), sam tells me "it's not cold, you daft woman!" or some such thing, all the while puttering around in shorts and a t-shirt as physical proof that i'm out of my mind. man, what i'd give for some sun and temps in the mid-70s.
on an up note, while the humidity is doing a number on my hair (along with the awful haircut i got before i left, but that's another story), it's working wonders on my skin. i would never think that cincinnati is particularly dry, but apparently it's drier than glasgow.
