A moral dilemma:
For the past two nights, there's been an Asian guy sleeping inside the hotel. The first night I thought he was a guest who got kicked out of his room by an angry wife or something, but now I'm pretty sure he's homeless. He's wearing the same thing he wore yesterday.
But then, y'know, so am I. Whatever.
He doesn't speak a whole lot of English; when I approached him Tuesday night, he simply said, "I wait 'til morning." I told him he had to be gone by 5:30 and let it slide.
But he was back again tonight. He's on the second floor now, next to the ice chest.
He's not bothering or hurting anyone, he's just sleeping. At first glance he appears to be a guest, hence my apprehension in approaching him in the first place.
The question is, do I tell him he can't stay here anymore and call the cops because he's trespassing, or do I do the good Catholic/decent thing and just let him have a warm place to sleep for a few nights?
It's not a problem when we're not busy, but it may become one when the place fills up this weekend and I'm not around.
I'd rather he not get arrested for vagrancy or whatever, but I'd also like to not get shivved or fired for letting people stay here without paying an arm and a leg.
