things that make me squee
1. mya_rofki's BigBang Sincere Friends of Liberty Have Been Rare. Be warned: this has non-con/rape of a minor, as well as physical and emotional abuse of a minor. I think this was a stunning bigbang. It deals with a serious, severe topic, and I think the author does a wonderful job not hiding from it. Not everything is shown, because it's only one fic, but you know that the road has been rough and will be rough. There is no easy, pat answer for what happens and the recovery is long and arduous. It's easy to get the sense of that. At least, I did (and I've seen the author's other work. She is not shy - nor should she be - in showing what and how recovery affects the individual and those around them). READ THIS.
2. roque_clasique's fic A Crocodile in the Corn. post-Apocafic. It has maimed!WinBros and sick!Sam. Lovely, lovely work (the SamnDean? PERFECT).
3. My John/Bobby fic is coming along. I think I'm really going to have to go through, though, and decide how these flashbacks/memories of John's are going to work. Should they be chronological - childhood - current? Or should they be random? Or should they go from current - childhood? Or should they vaguely tie into the current (although it's hard, because "current" is only really consisting of one night at Bobby's - so not a lot going on that way. UGH) IDEAS, ANYONE? HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. I'm currently writing another post Swan Song fic. This time Sam's there. It's unhappy and desperate and it'll probably be wincest. I LOVE IT SO. A snippet may be coming soon :D
5. Chris Clouse's Walked Away. Seriously, I have had this damn song on repeat for two days now. How is it so awesome?
