Carla Emery passed away in October.
I was curious about her, and did the famous web search and found out she'd died. I started looking about two weeks after the event.
My Mother had her "Old Fashioned Cookbook." It was like an old Sears catalog. I hated it. It reminded me of all those hippie freaks Mom used to hang out with, who lived in the woods and ate tree bark and shit like that.
It reminded me of everything I wanted to escape.
25 years later my life has come full circle. I now gravitate to those people. I am the target audience of her book.
