Happy 4th of July!!!
I may not be too happy with my government these days, but I do love my country.
Today I'm headed down to Greenfield Village with some friends and family to celebrate our country's past. Also to eat frozen custard (YUM!) and a fried chicken dinner. Then we're staying for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's "Salute to America" concert in the evening, which is followed by fireworks!!
Someday I'd love to make it to Washington, DC for the 4th. I'm in love with that city (the city, NOT the politicians!), and, though I know it would be incredibly crowded, I think it would be great to be there for the celebration.
