so the administration of our president for hope and change routinely monitors all communications of all citizens (at least on the level of who's talking to whom, and where they were physically located at the time); claims the unilateral power to assassinate any person anywhere using flying robots, by secret decision with no trial or appeal; and is pushing to require government approval for all employment. he's greatly expanded the use of armed paramilitary squads to intimidate and apprehend aging cripples who use non-government-approved medicine, and fights pretty hard to delay government approval of politically-sensitive medicines even after all the relevant bureaucrats have enthusiastically signed off. federal officials subject to transparency requirements hide their communications behind secret email accounts, and official policy is not to pursue any sort of justice for officials who have verifiably tortured people. citizens traveling anywhere or sometimes just sitting in their homes are subject to arbitrary searches by armed paramilitary squads, and are sometimes randomly shot.

i'm not even exaggerating. this is just headline news stuff. at least we still get to have headline news.

on the bright side... he's black? he didn't fight gay marriage too hard once it became clear it was inevitable? he hasn't cracked down on porn much?
