I haven't been updating this regularly, but I've been reading friends pages every day.
For me things have been busy in a good way. I have more to accomplish than I can actually get done each day. I'm still working out regularly, I am focusing more on physical goals than on losing weight and that has made it more fun. I am doing lots of fun work on the press. I am trying to focus on getting my finances in order, be realistic and set a budget as well as making more money by shifting my focus to completely tasks that actually bring in an income - like selling books to bookstores, marketing and promoting, and teaching some tango lessons on the side.
So far 2007 is shaping up to be a good year. I am still in "planning mode" for the most part. However, I've been enlisting the help of professionals/friends for things like taxes/accounting, marketing plans, website design and so that's been useful and also inspiring to get advice from people who actually know what they are talking about.
Keeping my house tidy has been challenging. I've been getting a handle on it slowly. We've been neglectful of simple stuff for so long that it's difficult to change those habits but it's really important to me to stay organized. The unfortunate thing is that in order to become organized you kind of have to have a place for everything and right now we have a huge shortage of actual furniture/shelves and places to organize things. One of my goals for this year is to cut back on what I actually possess as well as organizing what I do have in some sort of useful manner. Just a small example is that I probably own 6 pairs of scissors, because whenever I need my scissors I can never find them (they're probably in some shoe box in the craft closet along with some project I was working on) and I get frustrated so I go buy another pair of scissors which is how I accumulated 6 pairs. Well, that's just unacceptable. Part of having to live on a budget makes being organized all that more important.
I feel like I'm starting to come down with a cold. I have had a runny nose for the past 2 days, but no other symptoms other than a slight sinus headache. Runny noses are irritating.
