Where have I been, you ask?!
I have been around and I have been fine, but I have been very very busy, occupied and caught up. I was stressed to hell in the run up to my exams, trying to get everything done and coping with 3 dogs as well with my little foster boy Fraser here. Speaking of which, does anyone want a wonky Lurcher?
Soooo.... my exams are all done and over. I didn't realise exactly how tense I was about them until they were done and I felt immense relief. The written exams could have been better, but coud have ben worse. I have no idea how I have done in those. The practical exams were frankly quite terrifying - I got the ones I did not want and felt so nervous. BUT I think I have passed those. We'll just have to wait and see - I get my results at the end of January.
I now feel all christmas-sy and festive, despite not normally doing so, and am going to enjoy this year, I think. Things are much better between me & Dave now that I am no longer stressed to hell, and my pets are all wonderful. I am actually going to find it heartbreaking to give Fraser up when his time comes to find a new forever family who can give him the time and attention he needs. If only I could find a house I would keep him forever myself, he's a litle sweetie.
I haven't updated my 101 Things List frever - so here's an update:
Things Completed
- 5. Get 60% of my portfolio done by Oct 2006 - I'm still on 60% but now can relax, and need to now get the remaining 40% done as quick as I can to be qualified.
- 34. Visit Lindsay in Glasgow - Me & Dave went up to Glasgow on 5th October to spend 3 days with Lindsay & Scott. Unfortunately it rained the whole time but we still had a good time and it was great to see them again without only being there for exams.
- 38. Pay of my credit card - done when I got my loan for the wedding, but now has a very small amount back on it *oops*
- 43. Register as an organ donor - one of the first things I did on my list, but haven't died yet so nobody has benefitted from my organs yet
- 45. Get my shoulder tattoos removed or covered up - okay, I went and had a consultation at a laser removal clinic, but they wanted to charge me over £1000 to remove 2 small tattoos that cost less than £50 to get on there in the first place. Did some research on alternatives, and found (via a shop for transvestites, of all places!) a brand of cover-up make up specifically for tattoos, scars, etc - got it all and it'll do!
- 47. Get an eye test - another done at the start of my list, and haven't broke my new glasses yet!
- 49. Lose at least 2 stones in weight - I did it and felt wonderful but have since put it all back on stupidly. Once christmas is over, the weight loss challenge starts again - at least now I know I can do it.
- 52. Wear a dress in public - for my work Christmas Party this year (on 24th Nov) I wore a beautiful and perfect dress and felt great in it! I did get far too drunk in it though, and probably made a right tit of myself.
- 55. Buy new towels & bed covers - what would I do without you, Primark?! Got plenty new towels & beddings!
- 58. Buy pink shoes - done for my birthday back in July, and they are still gorgeous!
- 59. Wash the dishes without being asked or prompted - I've actually done this quite a few times in the past 2 months - whoopee for me!
- 66. Down a pint in one go - my birthday 2006. Trillians. Anita. Great night!
- 70. Carve a pumpkin - did this with my younger brother & sister on Halloween 2006. Was fun! Our attempt at roasted pumpkin seeds were a disaster, so we planted the rest. Left Mr Pumpkin Head with my younger brother, who proceeded to try and hang him up, which resulted in his head becoming smashed - oh well!
- 88. Watch the Goonies - and still a fab film!
- 91. Hold a spider - oh my god the thought still makes me shudder - but I did it in August!
- 94. Win a prize - way back in July I won a weekend in a seaside B&B. I ended up giving it to a good friend but I still won it so it still gets checked off the list!
COMPLETED: 16/101 (or 15.8%)
Things In Progress
- 6 & 7. Pass written & practical exams - just waiting on my results!
- 10. Learn how to play Poker - played my first games in the prescence of people other than Dave last weekend, and did *okay* but I've still got loads to learn LOL!
- 14. Go to Crufts - next March I will be going to Crufts for all 4 days with Vicki, Allison & Emily. Should be meeting RD friends there - can't wait!
- 32. Get 400 active RD Members - have just less than 300 right now (started off at 200 when I started this list)
- 37. Get married - woohoo still as excited as ever - 6th October 2007!
- 39. Save £1000 in my ISA - have stopped completely at £300 but will start again after the wedding
- 40. Do a days volunteer work - this Sunday (Christmas Eve) I am going to work in my local rescue centre
- 44. Earn more than 11K - if I pass my exams, my wages will rise considerably
- 79. Take part in another paranormal investigation - in March 2007 I will be going to the Schooner Hotel for an overnight investigation
- 80. Watch all my DVDs I haven't seen yet
- 82. Release a book via bookcrossing - still haven't gotten round to it!
- 99. Read all the books on my bookshelf - still loads to go, but getting there (doesn't help that I can't stop buying more!)
- 100. Finish Wheel of Time series - on number 7 of 11
IN PROGRESS: 14/101
I am quite pleased with myself!
