rude awakening
There's nothing quite as miserable as waking up one day and knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have to call in sick, thus spending leave hours that I'd prefer to hold on to.
I think that bothers me more than being sick. At least when I left early yesterday I didn't have to use leave. But now, I'm missing an important briefing and spending leave. I am not a happy camper.
