A Shane Update.

Thoughts and stuff:

Went to Target and took my blood pressure.  According to the machine I am no longer in the pre-hypertension stage! (I'll let you draw your own conclusions).

When Melissa's been sick for a while, as soon as she feels better she loves to chat.  (through the middle of the night, for hours, and hours)  She's lucky I love her.

I think the lexapro is working.  Haven't had any down spots, but tonight is monthend, so we'll see.  Barely had any nausea today, so hopefully Lisa is right and my body will adjust to it.

Why is it people bring a serious problem (like $6,000,000 being held up by the bank) to your attention 2 minutes before you have to leave to go get the kids to school?

I saw my dad the other day for the first time in a month or so.  He was about done with his radiation at that time and had just completed chemotherapy.  He looked like absolute shit.  It's pretty scary looking at someone who's usually so full of life (at least around kids) barely have the energy to walk from the car outside to in the front door.  Then there's the loss of hair, mouth sores, withered skin, and loss of around 50 pounds that just really tie it all together.  He's still hanging in there though.  Hopefully now that the treatments are done he'll return to his former self (although he could do without the 50 pounds being put back on).  Of course first he's got to get back out of the hospital...

Time to pick my insurance plan again for next year.  I decided to switch plans because I don't want to get bored by the insurance company fucking me over the same way all the time.  I like to try other plans and see what other ways they can fuck me.

Got a tooth filled the other day.  Other than the stretching of my cheek out to get back there, it was painless.  Still don't want to do it again any time soon.

Going to Oelwien this weekend.  That will be good.  Taking the kids.  They'll like that.   I'm tired.  I make short sentences.  Tired of typing.  I think I'm done.

edit:  Oh yeah, now I'm running a low grade fever again!  Woohoo!
