I never got emersed in the comic book world. But one thing I have always appreciated was the incredibly detailed and interesting universes that they create around thier stories and characters. That being said I DO enjoy flipping through a book and looking at the wonderful art, and the stories are always fun. I just feel like I need to start at the beginning of the story and with some of the stories that seems daunting.
That being said DC is teaming up with Sony Online Entertainment to create an online video game (the likes of WOW, Everquest, SWG etc) that for me would be a unique opportunity to experience the story lines without missing the first half of it.

Either way it will be interesting to see what they come up with.
