Four Eyes to be

Noah's big news came yesterday at the eye doctors: He needs glasses for reading and computer use. He's been complaining of eye strain and blurriness after reading lately. He reads books and uses the computer alot--he flies through books nowadays. So W took him in to the eye dr yesterday while I was working. Apparently he's a bit farsighted, which isn't bad in itself, but the dr suggested he wear reading glasses to help with the strain. They picked out the frames and ordered them. I'll have to wait to see what they picked until next week when it comes in.  He said they were "scientist glasses", which I guess is code for "looking smart" and are dark green, small, octogan shaped frames.

Noah's pretty excited, actually. I guess a number of kids in his class have recently gotten glasses and he's looking at it as a rite of passage. Come to think of it, I got my first pair of glasses (nearsighted) in 4th grade when I was 9 years old also. It's strange to think of him in glasses. I hope it's not something that gets progressively worse like my eyesight has. I didn't procreate with a 20/20 vision man for nothing, yk!
