Merlin helped Arthur get back to his rooms, thankfully it was late, so no one spotted them. When they entered, Merlin locked the door behind him and helped Arthur to his bed.
"I need to…" Arthur started to say.
"I know, I'll help you get out of these clothes. Maybe you can have a bath…"
"No. I need to kiss you," said Arthur.
"Sire…" Merlin hesitated.
"But…" Arthur whined and Merlin had a sneaky suspicion he was behaving as such on purpose. He wanted to believe Arthur was starting to sober up, and now was only behaving as such because then Merlin wouldn't walk away.
"You're too much," Merlin said, removing Arthur's shoes, and then his own, and settling next to Arthur. Arthur lay in bed while Merlin sat there, and then he manoeuvred himself around to rest his head on Merlin's lap.
"You should be cross with me. Only I can be angry with you."
"So, are you angry?" asked Merlin.
Arthur shook his head. "No. I just…" Arthur nestled his head deeper in Merlin's lap, bring his face closer to Merlin's groin. "I want you…Again."
"I know…" Merlin said softly, running his fingers through Arthur's hair. "But not now, okay?"
"Why?"
"Because, I want you to rest. And then…maybe later. Or tomorrow."
"But…"
"Shh…" Merlin spoke gently, and he shifted himself and brought a pillow, placing it under Arthur's head. He lay next to Arthur and wrapped his arm around Arthur's body. "I just want to hold you tonight."
Arthur gave a happy sigh. "Very well, but in the morning, I'm going to take you. And if you sneak out before I wake up-"
