Wanting Harry series.
Neville woke up alone in his bed and sore all over. He turned to his side, hoping by some magic his men would be there but they weren't. It was all right though, he thought, it'd been his decision to leave last night. To leave them alone in bed. Together.
He didn't know if he should have been jealous at the idea of the two of them without him but he totally wasn't. It was fortunate, he reckoned, to be involved in such a relationship and still be so comfortable with it. He wondered if normal people got jealous about things like that and he wasn't all that normal to begin with.
After grabbing his coffee and breakfast, he made his way into work. It was going to be a very long day, if not a very long week. Before he knew it, it was lunch time and one of his assistants told him he had a package waiting for him in the office.
Neville finished with the last of his customers and made his way to the office. Much to his surprise, there was a huge feast laid out on the office desk.
"What fortune did you strike, boss?" Terry, one of his newest employees said.
"I…I don't know," Neville said, confused. There was a card attached to the non-alcoholic sparkling cider which came with all the food. He opened to read it.
"Don't work too hard," he read aloud; realising Terry was still there, he read the rest quietly to himself.
Don't work too hard. That's what we're for. Enjoy the lunch with your staff and come by D's flat. We'll be waiting for you.
He looked at Terry who was still there, nosey as ever. "One of my friends bought us lunch, I reckon," he said and winked at her. "You want some?"
"Yes!" Terry said, excited, and after she got her plate-full, left Neville alone. She wasn't all that nosy as she was hungry, and Neville could relate. They'd been working really hard and their clientele list was only increasing. They didn't have much time to lounge around anymore and given he was also so short-staffed, it made it difficult for everyone to enjoy work.
"Your friends are amazing," Joao, his other employee said as he was also excited for free food.
Neville smiled to himself. Yeah, they were amazing. He'd be thanking them tonight.
