His family was a powerful one. Scorpius had always known that. Even before the Malfoys had joined the Potters, Scorpius knew he came from power. Pureblood wizard. A Black-family heir. Cousins with a half-werewolf. And now, soon to be bonded into a monogamous, three-way relationship.

Of course, the hardest part of this was telling Harry.

Scorpius's father was already aware. And even though he didn't love the idea, he wasn't about to kick them all out of the house for it. He wouldn't. Draco Malfoy went around saying he wasn't Lucius Malfoy.

They were sat at the family dinner table. All of them. Teddy on Scorpius's left and James on his right. And then they had Harry and Draco sat across from him. The rest of the family was there too. Lily, and Albus, and he wondered if they should have invited James's mother to the party, too. Eventually, Rose and Hugo would find out.

"This isn't easy for me…" Scorpius began to speak. He'd convinced Teddy and James to let him do the talking. Harry liked him. Harry always wanted to please Scorpius because of his father. And Scorpius thought of using that to his advantage for once.

"Whatever it is, I'm here for you…" Harry said in a reassuring tone and Scorpius saw his father cringe slightly. Surely, Harry was going to come to regret those words.

And then, Scorpius all but blacked out.

Many people say that when they are put on a spot and forced to answer a question they're not ready for, they ramble on. They ramble on, and on, and in the end, don't remember anything they'd said. That was Scorpius's case. He rambled. And then he could not tell you what he'd spoken at the table. All he knew was that everyone who was not aware of his relationship was gaping by the end of it.

"Luna?" Harry's first words were not what Scorpius had expected.

"Yes," James said, firm yet sounding tentative at the same time. "Aunt Luna."

"I can't believe she kept this from me." When Harry turned to look at Draco, he frowned. "I cannot believe you kept this from me."

"For what it's worth, Potter. I only just found out. It isn't like I have known for over a year-similar to some of your best friends."

"Oh, and Rose knows…" Scorpius chimed in. Making sure he didn't forget that bit. Or if he'd already told them, to remind them. Again. Maybe redirecting Harry's anger would help them. Somehow.

"Okay," Harry drawled and then he stood up. Scorpius was worried because his father looked worried. If Draco Malfoy looked concerned and Harry was in the room, this was not a good sign. "James, with me…"

"But, Dad…" James tried to argue but Harry shut him up with one look.

Scorpius had never seen that look before. He reckoned Harry only brought it out for special occasions.
