"James, will you please give us a moment?" Scorpius's father's voice let very little room for doubt. If Scorpius were James, he'd run the heck out of there.
But Jamie was a Gryffindor, true and proud. "Draco, I can-"
"If you don't mind, James. Unless you'd like me to bring Harry into this conversation?"
"It's fine," Scorpius said. "I'll see you later."
Scorpius didn't take his eyes off his father's face. He wasn't sure what he was going to say or do but he knew if he looked at James, Scorpius wouldn't be able to contain himself and his emotions.
