The thing about Luther and Allison --
Umbrella Academy question(s) under the cut - mostly why is Tumblr mad, bro?
For those that have seen The Umbrella Academy, I am curious to know, why is everyone on my feed freaking the fuck out about incest.
I mean - yes, they're adopted brother and sister, so yes, it is incest. For sure. But IDK why people are cross? Are they upset b/c NETFLIX is condoning incest? Romanticizing incest?
I mean, a lot of people I follow on tumblr are my friends from LJ/DW fandom people -- and a lot of them are super in james sirius/albus. Fred/George. Ron/Ginny, etc...
Although JS/A is the only one I partake in and I'm not crazy about incest but I just don't know why everyone is on fire? Am I following more conservative people on tumblr than I realized. Should I unfollow the ones reblogging all this hate on others for incest?
Not that anyone cares or it matters, most of the times, to me, incest is super icky. There's also some family history trauma in my life (not directly @ me but surrounding me) which does trigger some incest abuse etc stuff -- but like -- what even?
Does tumblr just need something new to hate?
And Luther and Allison -- I don't ship it. Like AT ALL. And if I saw someone posting a lot of gifsets about them, I would probably unfollow them on tumblr but I mean - I won't just go on and on about it. I guess these tumblr folks are worried "about the children." But tumblr to me was an extension of fandom and fanficion and fan art not -- THIS.
