This got long!
Hi guys, I am back home from Misti-Con and it was a lot of fun. Below is my quick recap of events about how many and who I met! I hope you like it.
I Drove, Stayed, and Danced with fantasyfiend09. She's a bloody SAINT!!!!
I also hung out with alisanne, dementordelta, and lilyseyes @ the "Snarry Suite" - and these ladies are the host goddesses with Food and Drinks and Awesomeness.
We didn't stay at the main hotel as it was booked by the time me and FF bought our tix so we stayed at the motel next door and had to walk through a graveyard every night in the dark - which was super CREEPY. LOL
I had amazing sets of conversations with ravenna_c_tan, who was hilarious with her cosplay of Draco and what Draco wanted from potter. I'm so blown away by her ridiculous amounts of talent & knowledge as a writer and everything else. And I'm so lucky to be living in the same city as her and
gatewaygirl --> who thankfully didn't think I was completely insane with my drunk!babble and gave me lots of Boston Gay History info!
I bought a book from tjs_whatnot at her vendor table in the "marketplace" without even realizing who she was and then we met @ the Snarry Suite and I was like OMG (!!!!) and then we totally flailed over each other.
sugareey stole my heart with her little charms. When I saw her table @ the vendor booth/bazaar, I was like "I know this art." And then, "What's your name?" And then, "Wait are you...."
Finally, I was like WHAT ARE YOU SELLING? LET ME BUY ALL YOUR THINGS!
I got tea in a Harry Box, and some cute cards with Harry, Draco, Luna. It was FANTASTIC.
Met nuclearpolymer, and her husband, who is a Star Wars 501st member. NCP also read a story in the "Fanfiction Writer" meet up and when she was reading it, I thought it sounded familiar. And I checked it out - and turns out she'd written it for hp_drizzle 2016! (I mod that, by the way).
SO the Fanfiction Writer Meet up. articcat621, and gaeilgerua totally made me feel like a million dollars when they cheered for me when I introduced myself at the meet up. It was unexpected and totally humbling, and then we took pictures after the YULE BALL at the pizza party.
In passing, I also came across: celandineb, bicrim, andreanna,
gelsey (I think!), and foxestacado.
There were lots of cool costumes, lots of art, lots of kids of all ages and (many Dramione shippers *awkward face*). Not to mention, a ton of good-looking people. I attended many interesting panels and participated in discussions about theories and slash.
(Ate a lot, drank tons, made new friends).
I was nervous at first but really glad I went in the end.
Also - then I got home to find a nice surprise from mywitch - More on this later.
