I'm one with the Force. More than platonic.

The opinions in this post are mine alone, and no one has to agree with me. LOL. It's all one-sided, and I like to treat them as facts.

If there's anyone that follows me over at awesomedig tumblr, you might have noticed that earlier today I reblogged a TON of Chirrut/Baze images and texts.

I've seen Rogue One twice now, and what I believed in the first time, came back with a vengeance the second time. Chirrut and Baze are beautiful.

"I don't need luck. I have you." did me in, so much. What I really admired about this OBVIOUSLY GAY pairing was that they were older. Kylux is hot, Stormpilot is young, but Chirrut/Baze is fucking beautiful. Even if the creators' intentions weren't to give us someone to ship, it's nice that they're an older couple. I really can't explain what I am trying to say but it also has everything to do with how they're not just your cookie-cutter white boys. (Maybe that's it).

There are a lot of articles on the internet discussing that "Rogue One fans are shipping the duo."

I feel like yelling: Trust me on this one, as someone who claimed to be "straight" for more than half her life, and then obsessed over a girl, sort of became her protector, if not her shadow, I see the ship. I ship the ship. Baze loves Chirrut. Baze loves Chirrut so fucking much. Chirrut lives for the Force, but Baze lives for Chirrut. It's not to say that Chirrut doesn't love Baze just as equally but Chirrut died for the cause and Baze died because a world without Chirrut is not worth living.

So now, I leave you with a couple of things:

Random: in this interview: Donnie Yen on a new interview, when he was asked about the chemistry between Baze and Chirrut, he said, it’s not always friendship between two men <3

And...

10 Times Chirrut & Baze Gave You Relationship Goals

Anyway, I already have this idea of a fanart I want to create for these two, I just have to find the time to do it. Oh, and not to mention, a "Bro" book:

It's unlikely that the Star Wars powers that be will ever confirm or deny Baze and Chirrut's relationship status. Though fans will get to learn more about the characters in Rogue One: Baze & Chirrut, a planned novelization of their story, the book is, according to Wookieepedia, middle school level, which makes any explicit romance seem unlikely. Rogue One director Gareth Edwards left the door open for multiple interpretations of Baze and Chirrut's relationship in a recent interview, however. "I don't mind people reading into [Chirrut and Baze's relationship]. I think that's all good" (source)
