Costa Rica is Awesome!!!!
So I'm here, and while the plane rides were completely awful, it is well worth it. The city is gorgeous, when you fly over it at night the lights give the impression of embers in the aftermath of a fire. The city is so different from anything I've ever seen before. There are so many different levels. My family is wonderful. They are very nice, they don't speak much English but somehow we manage to communicate. They are very patient with me and my lack of spanish. My papa here took me around the city yesterday, and I LOVE San Hose. We walked around Centro de San Hose (down town) and went to the Market. I've never seen so many fresh fruits and vegetables!! My mama here is a wonderful cook, and she keeps me very well fed. I haven't met Fernando Jose yet but I have seen a picture and . . . . well his cousins make up for him very nicely. They're 18, but they don't live with me. My host family is very social and my brain is on overload trying to learn so much in so little time. Thy're family is very nosy, the first thing they're son-in-law asked me was whether or not I had a BF. Oh, well. I love it here but I miss you all. I wish everyone could come down here. Love you all!!
