Humor me, but I think Clara has her shop in a basement
I noticed several episodes ago that Clara's shop has no natural light. Even though we only see one quarter of Clara's shop if there were windows on the other side of it they should be providing some sunlight into the shop. But there is none. I don't think that room has any windows.
I think they are filming in somebody's basement.
Notice how we never see Clara's ice cream freezer. They just have some set dressing on the bar. The counter looks like a basement bar/kitchen. And the colors and general decor just screams 1970s basement. I know Clara is a little untraditional but how many people put couches in an ice cream shop?

I'm assuming Clara is suppose to have a traditional small-town store front. She does live in a small town and she lives above her shop so I think it's a good guess.
