New stuff on the official website and coverage of the London premiere

Dec 06, 2012 00:32

New photos on the official site. They look almost computer-wallpaper, very low-skill Photoshopped (the official site uses them as backgrounds for the cast pages and other pages):
See also the downloads page for more wallpaper-sized versions of the cast posters, a twitter skin and more. The site also has cool info graphic (very Pinterest-esque) It's very hypnotic. I want to stare at it all day.

The National Board of Review names Les Misérables one of the 10 best films of the year and awards the cast as Best Ensemble. Once again Anne Hathaway was snubbed and the film Lincoln didn't win anything at all. How Bradley Cooper wins Best Actor over Daniel Day Lewis I'll never know.

The Hollywood Reporter: Inside the Fight to Bring 'Les Mis' to the Screen (this is a great story!) Check out the photo shoot with the cast and photos from the London premiere. See behind the scenes video of the photo shoot.

A great video from the London premiere another video from the red carpet. See photos from the London premiere (scroll down).

Opposing Views: Movie Review: 'Les Miserables' (funny, but I'm not sure if the humor is intentional *g*)

I sat in the DGA theatre tonight while grown men on either side of me sobbed their eyes out watching #LesMiz. @RealHughJackman = great

I have to say that Les Mis is still with me... Images and moments in the movie keep flooding back....@RealHughJackman is superb. #LesMisFilm

------[digne: The writer of American Psycho lives up to his name. See a related story in French: Bret Easton Ellis enrage contre Les Misérables sur Twitter. Multiple sources say not to take him seriously. He throws these sorts of fits all the time.]

Just left DGA screening of Les Miserables. Did I hear applause at the end or am I just losing my mind? Borderline ineptitude. A disaster...

Anne Hathaway's "I Dreamed A Dream" in Les Miserables is shot in one close-up and is so overwrought the dummies in the audience applauded...

The film version of "Les Miserables" is so bad that it made me rethink why I ever loved the stage version. 2 hours and 40 minutes of tacky.

Tom Hooper blows just about every song in "Les Miserables" including "On My Own" which I didn't think possible no matter who directed it...

"come over at do bring coke now..." Christ, I should have tweeted that while sitting through Les Miserables. I might have liked it then.

The one actor surviving the incomprehensible mess "Les Miserables" is Eddie Redmayne, who should get an award for avoiding humiliation...

Oh yeah and I forgot: "Les Miserables" opens on Christmas Day and (spoiler alert!) just about everyone in it dies. Merry fucking Christmas.

Have been accused by someone that my Twitter rant last night about the movie version of "Les Miserables" was possibly the gayest thing ever.

Just saw Les Miz, which is an oppressive slog for the first 120 mins. But once the rebellion begins, it kicks into emotional gear.

@wellshwood where does it fall in the Oscar prediction?

Les Miz is about relentless cruelty at the hands of gargoyles & oppressive for that, but the last 40 minutes get you emotionally.

Do I want to see it again? Perhaps not. But maybe via screener. I would like to savor the last third again, certainly. Hathaway shines.

The Les Mis movie drained my eyes to a point of no return. Anne Hathaway. Anne Hathaway. I can't *beep* hell! Performance of the year
