My Wish List 2018...

Dec 10, 2018 13:50

Because of being sick I'm even later than usual posting my list. Like I've said before, seeing the comm active over at Wish List, and seeing people's wishes granted, is such a huge present for me. I made the comm for you guys, to be a help, to maybe spread some joy. It always makes me so happy to see everyone using it.

No matter how hard things get I know I'm blessed. Both by the love of my family and by the amazing friendship and support I get from all of you. I really do love you guys. You keep me sane in my insane world, remind me that I'm never alone, no matter what. I can never, ever thank you guys enough for that. I'll sure keep trying, though. Thanks, for always being here to listen, for offering me your help and hearts. It means more to me than I could ever say and I never, ever, take it for granted.

My WISHLIST

1. I'd love copies of any older used Bat-series graphic novels; I love Nightwing, Robin, Batman, Birds of Prey (Used would be more than fine)

Here's the link to my Amazon Wish List if anyone would like to see it. Gift cards are always great because I can save them up to be able to get gifts for Amber or Lee.

2. Gift cards to Kroger, Target, or Walmart that I could use to get groceries, cat food, gas, etc. With the over $10,600.00 bill at Norton Hospital we're facing, for both Lee and me, plus the huge bill we have to pay each month to the State, there is never much left for us to live on. I've also added a Donation button for PayPal if anyone would like to help out that way. I hate like heck to ask but we really need the help right now.

3. For my family, friends, all the people I care about, to stay happy and healthy: For my sweetie, Lee, to keep doing better health wise. For my health and mobility to stay decent. I know being positive is so much of the battle so I'll try to do the best I can to smile, even when it's hard.

4. For Amber to be happy and for us to continue to find ways to help her as she begins her new life as a Special Ed teacher. Guys, I am so, so proud of the woman she's become. She's going to be such an amazing teacher, she has such a huge heart. No matter what craziness happens in our lives I'm determined to help her get there.

5. Paid lj and/or pic time for me on either of my two main fandom journals; Dreamwidth or LJ. I've also been trying my best to keep Wishlist paid, too, so you guys don't have to deal with ads over there. Another wonderful gift for me would be for you to look around, pick someone who you know is struggling and surprise them with some paid time. That would really make me happy, too. So many of us have been having a hard time of it still.

6. Any mp3 files you'd like to recommend or share. I listen to I-tunes all of the time when I'm working on my computer now and I love hearing new artists.

7. Recs for your favorite Avengers, Sherlock, Supernatural or Smallville fics you've seen. I'm a huge Tony/Steve, Steve/Bucky or Clint/Coulson fan but I love other pairings, too.

8. To someday get to meet some of the people I've met through lj in real life. Virtual hugs are great but there are some amazing people out there that I'd love to give the real thing to. I keep really hoping to make it to one of the gatherings somehow. I miss MediaWest Con so much. Maybe even one of these years I'll make it to an Escapade or Wincon. They've got things out there like Fan Fund. In my heart of hearts I dream of getting nominated for something like that one of these days.

9. For the things I try to sell here and on Ebay to go well. Anything I can make from them helps us get by each month. The hardest thing lately has been finding the energy to tackle getting them up and posted for sale. Money from my paypal account has gotten us through many lean months over the years.

10. For all the people I care about, both here and in my life, to have safe, happy and giving holidays. For my friends to give back this season, in any way you can. We always gather up stuff for the local Women and Children's shelter near us. I know that you have something like it near you, no matter where you live. Any thing helps; toys, clothing, space heaters to help with heating their homes. The economy is bad and it's getting worse. We have to be there to care for each other. What we put out in the world always comes back to us, I completely believe this. Even one act of kindness, no matter how big or small, can change someone else's life for the better.

Here are a few really good ones you can get started with: Coats for Kids through the Salvation Army, book donations to children's programs in your area, Toys for Tots, Make a Wish Foundation, your local Homeless Shelters, etc.
