Want to know what a little over a week in TCU costs in the US?

The claim for Lee's hospital stay is finally working its way through Anthem. The grand total, not including doc visits, is $54,990.98! The, hopefully, good news is that, because it was what they call a Life or Death stay, we MAY not have any co-pay for the hospital part of the bill, we should know soon.

That doesn't cover the cost of all the docs he saw, we'll have to pay the co-pays for them. That cost is at $549.23, and climbing. That's on top of the $1874.28 we owe for the two IV Iron infusions he had just before his hospital stay. Plus, there's still the $500 GLA wants to even set up a payment plan for the older $6100 we already owed Nortons. Once that $500 is paid, I'll owe them $156 a month for three years to get that paid off.

I'll still need $420 to get my tablet back from the pawn shop. I used the money I got from them to pay the $300 co-pay for the Upper and Lower GI studies that landed Lee in the hospital. I could only pay the $70 interest payment this month. I'm hoping I can save enough to redeem it before my forfeiture date, which is 11/26/18.

That means that I, realistically, need to raise at least $3343.51 to get back my tablet, pay for the infusions, the doc visits from Lee's time in the hospital and the $500 down payment GLA wants. I'm going to be selling my jewelry stock, my comics, whatever I need to, to get there.

Hope that you guys can forgive me doing lots of for sale lists for the foreseeable future. In addition, I've just done something I never thought I'd do, I've added PayPal Donate buttons on both my LJ and DW profile pages. On top of what I can make selling stuff, anything else I can raise would be a huge help.

I'm happy to work for any donations. I can do editing, Photoshop photo clean up, etc. I can even do product photography to help you sell your own stuff. If you would like to help, but don't want to use something like a donate button, my PayPal addy is bstaton @ iglou.com, without the spaces. Payments sent to Friends and Family would do the same thing.

You don't know how much I hate to even ask, but these are pretty scary times for us right now.

*hugs*
