Lee's still in TCU, we're hoping he might get to come home on either Tuesday or Wednesday if things keep going okay. He's getting stronger and is allowed solid foods again so that's helping. We've been walking together some on the unit. My having a seat on my roller walker has really been coming in handy for when he needs to rest. :)
Lee had his cardiac stress test yesterday morning. His cardiac doc says that it's basically unchanged from the one he had two and a half years ago which is good. What isn't good is that it showed he has scarring on the bottom of his heart and has had a heart attack that went undetected. His doctor has no idea why we weren't told this from the previous test, it showed up then, too. He said that helped explain the Atrial Fib and arrhythmia he just went though.
They've started him on a medication called Sotalol, Betaspace, which helps regulate your heat rate. He'll have to take it from now on to help prevent further damage to his heart or dangerous arrhythmias. They're having to closely monitor adjusting his dosage, they're doing a EKG after each one. That's why he can't come home until it's regulated.
As soon as I eat I'm off to the hospital to see him. I'll just be glad when he's home again. This has been so scary and the house is way too quiet. Thanks for giving me a place to talk about things, it's really helped.
*hugs*
