Life As a Nomad
THIS JUST IN-
I am sitting @ work and word on the street is that Eric, an artist @ the reporter, has a crush on me. He likes me so much that the guy in the cubicle next to me knows, as does my boss who told him i am engaged. He was burning holes in the side of my head @the pizza lunch on Thursday... n now he's doing research on me... and i don't even know who this guy is. This is karma kicking my stalker-ass. Proceeding...
So when our program ended, we checked right into the Dunes Inn. The first thing i noticed about the place was a stack of postcards that had the hotel with mountains in the back and the hollywood sign. The sign was photoshopped in. One of those motels. Everyone said our room smelled clean....CLEAN. Whatever. I thought it smelled funny but beggers can't be choosers. We went back to Oakwood, then Rosalie and I went to pick up tim. We went to Amoeba Records where I got Led Zepplins "How the West was Won". We went to Astroburger, then back to the Hotel where Tim and I smoked. He and Rosalie went to see Alkaline Trio and I hung out in the room watching TV and alternating between awake and asleep. I was supposed to go see a movie with Andy but I couldn't stay awake. I don't think a double feature would work out so well.
Mario called me and we went for a drive down Muholland. We met Rosalie at Mels on hollywood and highland for a late night snack, then we said goodbye.
Worked the next day (i.e. booking more hotels, getting directions, filing for unemployment...)
Tuesday we got katie all settled (shipped some stuff) and we spent the majority of the day @ The Oakwood which we snuck into by saying we had to take their neon rental to the enterprise inside. I went to the gym... we laid by the pool. We got dinner (in n out and vegan glory) and went to muholland and ate overlooking the entire city. From there, we went home, and regrouped for cinespace. It was awesome. We had the best night there. I met 2 guys. They wree both rad. 1 was a little too much for me... katie got mad... again. She has rage issues. She was being ignorant and made it very easy for us to say goodbye to her on wednesday. It was still sad but we agreed that if we're going to stay friends with her... the timing was perfect. Frank crashed too. That kid is awesome.
We checked out of the motel, and took her to the airport, cried a bit, then went to Follow Your Heart... this amazing vegan restaurant. I had the awesomest wrapper thing. FABULOUS. From there we went for some coffee and hung out a bit. Went to the paul frank store where i got cute boxers... then i picked dan up, bought some food, and went to his place... which was an oven.
He had some friends over. Rosalie went to see the trio again, and I hung out there. Dans place has no AC so it was really hot... but besides that i had a good time. Rosalie came in late and we did dans dishes and messed around a bit. The 2 of them are playing around 2day which is cute. Good times for all.
Tomorrow we go to San Fran. Next friday = last day @ the reporter. Good times. Lunch break now! Ciao!
